A Place Built for Belonging

A Place Built for Belonging

Together We Move is about more than just movement. It’s an invitation to be seen and to be met where you are. Belonging and community don’t happen when we sit on the sidelines and watch. We have to step in and interact.

Movement matters, don’t get me wrong. But movement is where our connection meets. It’s something that we all share. And the cool thing, it comes in all different forms… just like us. Movement can be physical, emotional, or spiritual. Movement doesn’t always look the same but we believe it’s something we all need.

If movement alone created belonging, I’d be best friends with every single person I played soccer against or the thousands of runners I’ve ran next to in a 5k. Movement is what brings us together but building the connection is what makes the difference.

Together We Move wasn’t just created to help us lift heavier weights or take more steps throughout the day, while that is important and something we believe in. It was created for connection and belonging while having fun and learning about ourselves and each other.

I’ve been an athlete my whole life. Movement and physical activity have always been a part of my identity. I played soccer. I stayed active. But being surrounded by a team and being active didn’t spare me from depression. I didn’t know what I was going through. It wasn’t talked about.

Together We Move started with women in mind because women deserve this space. Women deserve to feel supported, seen, and connected. But, I’m not just a woman. I’m a wife, daughter, professional, and a mom raising 3 boys. The community we want to create doesn’t stop with us, women. It comes into the spaces we are in.

The word together was not chosen by accident, this was intentional. This space is built for women but the ‘together’ aspect is bigger than that. Together means our family, together means our coworkers, together means our brothers, together means our neighbors. Together doesn’t exclude.

Never ran a mile? Cool. You belong here. Run every day? Cool. You belong here. Never have and never want to run? Cool. You belong here.

So, let’s move together.
